Toupret Exterior Skimcoat Filler is an extra smooth powder filler ideal for levelling uneven surfaces. Designed for smoothing damaged and rough masonry and render, it delivers a smooth surface ready for painting. Easy to spread, it is perfect for large areas and ensures superb adhesion on various surfaces like cement, concrete, plaster, mortars, and renders, ready for overcoating after 24-48 hours of application.

Preparation

Substrates must be hard, cohesive, clean, and sound.

Substrates to be prepared as per the current trade practices.

Application

Add powder to water at room temperature. Mixing rate: add 300ml water per 1kg powder (30%).
Stir until smooth.
Apply manually using a coating blade or trowel up to 5mm deep. The typical recommended application thickness is 1.5mm. It is advisable not to reshuffle the dough when it begins to harden.
The surface can be painted 24-48 hours after application depending on the substrate, coat thickness, and ambient conditions. Skimcoat Filler can be overcoated with any type of filler, paint or wall coating. Do not coat directly with polyurethane paints nor epoxy solvent-based paints. If using polyurethane or epoxy solvent-based paints, first prime with a water-based exterior paint.

1.2kg covers about 1m² at 1mm thick

Note: It is recommended to wear gloves and glasses while applying this product. Do not apply at a temperature below 5°C or above 35°C nor at a relative humidity over 80%. This filler cannot replace render on large structures.
