Tikkurila Intact Primer - Tinted Colour Match
Overview
Tikkurila Intact Primer is a high-performance water-based adhesion primer designed to create the ideal foundation for Intact topcoats.
Suitable for both new and previously painted interior surfaces, it delivers excellent adhesion on challenging substrates including melamine, fibreglass, hard PVC, tiles, aluminium, galvanised metal and factory-coated surfaces. It also performs exceptionally well on wood and metal in dry interior environments.
By improving topcoat adhesion and promoting a smooth, uniform finish, Intact Primer helps ensure long-lasting, professional-quality results across a wide range of interior decorating and refurbishment projects.
- Water-based adhesion primer and intermediate coat for new and previously painted surfaces
- Works for interior wood, metal and difficult surfaces

Tinted Colour Information
Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Tikkurila tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay.
Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order.
Note: Depending on the amount of colourant required to mix your chosen colour, there may be up to a 10% variant on the advertised paint volume.
A tinted primer can be used to help obtain the true depth of colour for your top coat or to reduce the amount of coats required when a drastic colour change is occurring. A tinted primer will not necessarily be the same colour as your selected topcoat. It will be tinted towards the topcoat colour and generally lighter in shade. For example if your topcoat is black your primer may be a shade of grey. If you are unsure about when a tinted primer is required please contact us and we can advise further.

Preparation
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and properly prepared before painting. The ambient temperature should be at least +8 °C and the relative humidity of air below 80%. A low temperature (approx. +15°C) and higher humidity (50–70 % RH) will lengthen the time paint can be kept open and make application easier.
Application
Always test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure you are happy with the finished results.
Spray Application:
Always follow manufacturer's instructions found on the packaging
Note: If using more than one tin of the same colour, intermix prior to use to ensure colour consistency. Check tinted product before application to avoid colour differences.
Aftercare & Storage
Allow the painted surface to cure for approximately one month before carrying out routine cleaning. Once fully cured, clean using a soft brush, sponge or cloth with a neutral pH (6–8) detergent solution. For heavier soiling, use a mild alkaline cleaner (pH 8–10), then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
