Overview
Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Plus is a water-based primer, sealer, and stain killer for interior and exterior painting projects. This product has exceptional adhesion and stain blocking properties so it can be effortlessly applied to glossy surfaces, ceramic tiles, non-ferrous metal, melamine, plastic, and wood to name a few. It is specially formulated to resist re-wetting, meaning it can block water soluble stains like a solvent-based primer and seal oil-soluble stains. Its unique formulation allows it to be applied directly over water and smoke stains and block them. It is highly recommended for use in high humidity areas such as bathrooms and laundry rooms.

Preparation
Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from any dust, algae, fungi or moss. Also ensure the product is free from excessive chalky material, grime, grease, oil, wax, mould or any contamination that may interfere with adhesion.
- Always wash the surface with a household cleaner, appropriate cleaning solution, or solvent. Clean new galvanised metal with methylated spirit
- Always ensure to remove loose or flaking material
- Sand any remaining paint to a smooth surface
- Sand exterior wood with a 80-100 grit sandpaper
- When sealing a stain always attempt to remove as much of the stain as possible prior to application
- For new plaster should be sealed with Zinsser Gardz
- To remove mould, treat area Zinsser Mould Killer & Remover
- Treat knots and sap streaks with Zinsser B-I-N Primer-Sealer
Application
Before applying stir the product thoroughly and test a small area.
- Zinsser Bulls Eye 123 Plus is ready to use and does not require thinning, if thinning is required add no more than 5% clean water
- Only apply when temperature range is between 10°– 25°C
- Apply one coat with a brush, roller or sprayer
- For best results prime the entire surface
- Allow to dry for a minimum of 1 hour, allow 2 hours for interior stain blocking and overnight for exterior stain blocking
Note: Thinning the product may affect its stain blocking properties, always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.
