- Apply 1 coat of Rustins White Oil-Based Undercoat before painting to ensure optimal coverage and durability.
- Apply 1 coat of Rustins Red Oxide Metal Primer to protect the metal.
- Follow with 1 coat of Rustins White Oil-Based Undercoat or Rustins Quick Dry White Primer/Undercoat.
- If using an oil-based undercoat, allow at least 24 hours drying time before applying radiator paint.
Tip: Proper surface preparation ensures long-lasting results and a smooth, professional finish on all radiators and metal appliances.
Application
- Stir the paint thoroughly before use. Ensure radiators are completely cool before starting.
- Apply liberally and evenly using a synthetic fibre brush, following the shape of the radiator for a smooth finish. Radiators can be used between coats if necessary.
- Apply 1-2 coats as required. Touch dry in approximately 30 minutes, depending on temperature and humidity.
- Allow 4 hours between coats (may vary with temperature and humidity). Radiators should be left to dry for 2 hours before turning on.
- Approximately 14 m² per litre per coat, depending on the surface absorbency. Can be applied over Undercoat.
- Ideal application temperature is 15-25°C. Do not apply below 10°C or in high humidity.
- Clean painted surfaces with a mild detergent solution.
Tip: Stir thoroughly before use to prevent uneven sheen or glossiness.
