Preparation

Always ensure all fittings are tight prior to use. Test the sprayer by filling it with water pressurising and performing a test spray and ensure there are no leaks. Always ensure the surface to be sprayed is clean and clear of dirt debris and contaminates.

Application

Before using the sprayer always test the product on a small area to ensure colour and adhesion. Colours can vary dependant on surface to be treated.

  • Avoid spraying in windy or damp conditions to get the best results.
  • Mask off any areas you don’t want to spray.
  • Push down the handle of the sprayer and rotate anti-clockwise until the pump pulls out.
  • Pour the product into the tank.
  • Once filled, screw the pump back in and turn the hand clockwise and make sure it’s tight.
  • Always place the sprayer on a flat surface.
  • Pump the handle up and down, until the pressure release valve opens, you should hear a slight hissing noise.
  • For best results hold the nozzle around 25cm from the fence.
  • Using long sweeping movements.
  • Overlap your previous spray by 50% to get a good coverage.
  • For a strong colour change more coats may be needed.
  • If using more than one tin it’s advisable to mix together in a large container or finish in a corner before starting a new can to ensure consistency in colour.

Note: Always follow the manufacturer instructions found on the tin.

Aftercare & Storage

Check all component parts are free of excessive wear and tear, worn parts must not be used.

Check for damage to unit and attachments, if damaged do not use.

Cleaning
  • Push the pump handle all the way down and lift the pressure release valve until you can no longer hear any hissing.
  • Once the pressure has escaped, unscrew the pump unit and tip any leftover liquid back into its tub. You could also spray the excess liquid back into its container before releasing pressure. You should never dispose the stain into drains or watercourses. To find out how to properly dispose of the product, contact your local council.
  • Rinse out the sprayer several times with clean water and refill with clean water. Pressurise again and spray it through the nozzle until the water runs clear – it’s best to do this on the speed setting.
  • To clean the wand, unscrew the handle from the trigger and clean the filter with clean water.
  • Remove the nozzle and white filter and clean with warm, soapy water and an old toothbrush. Don’t use a sharp object as this will damage the nozzle and ruin the spray pattern.
  • Put the nozzle back together.
  • Take care to do this in the correct order.
