Overview

DRY FLEX® 1 2-in-1 is an elastic repair compound designed for fast and permanent repairs of decayed and damaged wood. Perfect for quick, emergency wood repairs, it can be sanded and painted within just 1 hour, making it ideal for both internal and external applications.  Suitable for repairing windows, doors, fascias, soffits, stairs, or furniture. DRY FLEX® 1 is perfect for filling cracks and gaps. It’s also suitable for non-wood materials like masonry, plaster, concrete, and metal. Applied at 20°C, it cures quickly, with the typical curing time for a 1cm thick repair being just 1 hour. Please note, curing times may vary depending on temperature and humidity.

    Recommended Use Permanent repair of decayed and damaged wood, including windows, doors, and furniture, as well as for filling cracks and gaps in wood, masonry, plaster, concrete, and metal.
    Drying Time 1 hour at 20°C

    Preparation

    • Clean the Surface: Ensure the damaged area is clean, dry, and free from any dust, dirt, or loose material. Use a wire brush, scraper, or vacuum to remove debris from the surface.
    • Remove Excess Moisture: If the surface is wet or damp, allow it to dry completely before applying the repair compound.
    • Surface Repair: For larger gaps or cracks, ensure any surrounding wood or surface is stable and in good condition.
    • Mixing (if required): DRY FLEX® 1 is typically ready to use, but ensure it is thoroughly stirred to achieve an even consistency before application.

    Application

    Remove all decayed or damaged wood and pre-treat the area with DRY FIX® UNI.

  • Dispense DRY FLEX® 1 onto the mixing plateEASY Q™ dosing gun (tab in the forward position).
  • Spread a thin layer of the mixed DRY FLEX® 1 over the mixing plate
  • Apply the product to the repair area and remove any excess immediately.
  • When cured, sand the surface lightly before applying paint or wood stain.
