Johnstone's Trade Professional Undercoat is a solvent-based undercoat paint crafted for both interior and exterior applications on wood and metals. This undercoat not only excels in application, coverage, and opacity but also ensures an impeccable finish. Thanks to its exceptional adhesion and high film build it creates a secure bond with the substrate allowing for the surface to be sanded. This makes the Professional Undercoat an ideal choice for concealing surface imperfections, providing a solid foundation for the subsequent application of Johnstone's Trade Professional Gloss, Satin Finish, or Eggshell paints.

Preparation

Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from dirt and grease.

• Remove any loose or flaking material
• Rub down bare timber surfaces with abrasive paper to remove raised grains and sharp edges
• Prime bare surfaces with the appropriate Johnstone's Trade Primer

Application

Always test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure you are happy with the finished results

• Stir thoroughly before use to ensure the paint is completely mixed
• Johnstone's Trade Professional Undercoat is easy to apply by brush or roller
• Ensure maximum ventilation during application and drying

Always follow manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.

Note: Not recommended for interior use on large surface areas, or in confined spaces. Do not apply over polystyrene surfaces.

Aftercare & Storage

Store the paint away from heat and flame.

After use firmly secure the lid and store in a secure upright position.
