Johnstone’s Trade Aqua Water Based Gloss is a high-performance paint designed for interior and exterior wood and metal. Offering the look and durability of a traditional solvent-based gloss with the benefits of a modern water-based formula, it provides a tough, long-lasting finish that dries quickly and resists everyday wear. Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Jonhstone's Trade tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order.

Preparation

Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from dirt and grease.

Remove any loose or flaking material.
Rub down previously gloss painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly.
Prime bare wood with Johnstone’s Trade Aqua Water Based Undercoat. Prime all other bare surfaces with the appropriate Johnstone's Trade primer.
Apply one full coat of Johnstone’s Trade Aqua Water Based Undercoat to all correctly prepared and primed surfaces before applying Johnstone's Trade Aqua Gloss.

Application

Always test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure you are happy with the finished results

Stir thoroughly before use to ensure the paint is completely mixed.
Johnstone's Trade Aqua Water Based Gloss paint can be applied by brush.
For best results use a synthetic brush. Avoid overspreading.
Ensure good ventilation during application and drying.
If using more than one can of the same colour, intermix prior to use to ensure colour consistency.
Do not apply in temperatures below 10°C or externally when rain is imminent.
Additional coats may be required with certain colours, or attempting a wide colour change.
