Preparation
Preparation is essential to a good, smooth finish, so it's important to follow the instructions found on the tin.
- To ensure the tiles are clean and dry, apply a strong detergent and wipe clean with a damp cloth. Allow to dry thoroughly before painting.
- Smooth surfaces should be lightly rubbed with a fine waterproof abrasive paper to provide a key.
- If covering a previously painted surface, first remove any flakes or blisters and rub down well with a fine waterproof abrasive paper. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding to avoid the inhalation of dust.
Application
We always recommend preforming a test patch to ensure compatibility, ensure to also follow the instructions found on the packaging.
- Make sure the room is well ventilated and plenty of air is ciculating during application and drying.
- No primer or undercoat are needed. Stir well before use.
- Apply evenly with a brush or roller to clean, dry tiles and avoid overspreading.
- A gloss roller is recommended for an even finish. Do not apply in temperatures below 10ºC or in damp conditions.
- Spraying is not advised.
Aftercare & Storage
Remove as much paint as possible from brush or roller before cleaning. Wash immediately after use in warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
Once you've painted your tiles, clean and maintain them with a non abrasive cleaner and damp cloth so as not to damage the finish
