Overview

Cuprinol Wood Preserver Clear is a water based, colourless preserver for interior wood or for exterior use prior to painting, staining or varnishing. It’s formulated to protect sound wood against decay, mould and blue staining fungi.

Clean Up	Remove as much of this product as possible from the brush with a cloth and then wash with water

Preparation

Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from any dust, algae, fungi or moss.

To clean wood give it a good brush with a stiff brush to remove any dirt, debris or loose wood
If the wood has been previously stained, painted or varnished, we recommend you strip it back to the bare wood. For previously stained wood use a suitable wood stripper or sandpaper
If your wood has been effected by algae, fungi or moss this must be removed and can be cleaned with products such as Cuprinol Decking Cleaner or Cuprinol Garden Furniture Cleaner
Do not use this product to treat wood destined for in ground contact use

Application

Before applying stir the product thoroughly and test a small area to ensure colour and adhesion. Colours can vary dependent on surface to be treated.

Apply 2 coats with a brush
Allow the previous coat to soak in before applying the next coat, reapply before fully dry, usually 2-6 hours under normal weather conditions
Leave 16 hours for the second coat to dry before painting, staining or vanishing
Apply only in dry conditions, above 5°C and when bad weather is not forecast
