Annie Sloan Flat Brush
Overview
Clean lines, smooth colour, contemporary results. Annie Sloan's Flat Brushes are designed for painters who want a polished, modern finish, free from brushmarks and full of even, consistent colour. Where the Chalk Paint™ Bristle Brushes excel at expressive, textured effects, the Flat Brush is your go-to when a sleek, smooth result is the goal.
Built with advanced synthetic fibres, these brushes are engineered to hold a generous amount of paint and release it evenly across the surface, reducing the number of strokes needed and minimising the risk of streaks or marks. The result is a finish that looks deliberate, refined and beautifully consistent, whether you're working on furniture, cabinetry or decorative pieces.
Available in Small (23 x 3cm) and Large (26 x 6cm), there's a Flat Brush sized for every job, from precise, detailed work to sweeping colour across larger surfaces with confidence.

Aftercare & Storage
- Clean your Flat Brush immediately after use - synthetic fibres are easy to clean but dried paint is much harder to remove
- Wipe off excess paint on a piece of card or cloth before washing
- Work washing-up liquid into the dry bristles first, then rinse thoroughly under warm running water, working the fibres with your fingers
- Repeat until the water runs completely clear
- Reshape the fibres gently with your fingers and leave to dry flat or bristles-down - never bristles-up, as water can damage the ferrule
- Never leave the brush soaking in water, as this will splay the fibres and shorten the life of the brush
- Store flat or bristles-down in a cool, dry place once fully clean and dry
