Overview

Meet the brush that paints like a dream. Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint™ Brushes are crafted to complement Chalk Paint™ perfectly, designed not just to apply paint, but to help you create. Whether you're working towards a smooth, even finish or chasing that characterful, textured vintage look, these brushes give you the expressive control to achieve exactly what you're after.

Made from predominantly pure bristle with naturally split ends, the bristles are strong enough to hold a generous amount of paint, yet pliable enough to move freely across any surface. That combination means fewer trips back to the tin, more fluid brushwork, and results that feel genuinely handcrafted. And when you're done painting, they double up as the ideal tool for applying Annie Sloan Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ Wax, so one brush can take you all the way from first coat to finished piece.

Available in three sizes there's a Chalk Paint™ Brush suited to every project, whether you're detailing a small drawer front or sweeping colour across a large cabinet.

  • Designed for Chalk Paint™ - engineered to work in perfect harmony with Annie Sloan's paints
  • Pure bristle construction - strong yet pliable, with natural split ends for expressive, fluid brushwork

Aftercare & Storage

Cleaning after chalk paint use:

  • As soon as you've finished painting, remove excess paint from the bristles by wiping the brush firmly on a piece of card or scrap paper.
  • Rinse the brush thoroughly under warm running water, working the bristles with your fingers to release any paint trapped near the ferrule.
  • Work a small amount of mild soap or washing-up liquid into the bristles, lather well, then rinse clean. Repeat until the water runs clear.
  • Reshape the bristles gently with your fingers and allow the brush to dry naturally, bristles down or flat, never bristles up, as water can damage the ferrule and handle.

Never leave your brush sitting in water - this will splay the bristles and shorten the life of the brush.
